EHORN Membership

Join a regional community of citizen election observation organizations.

EHORN membership is open to non-partisan domestic election observation and monitoring organizations in East and Horn of Africa that subscribe to the Network’s mission, values and constitutional principles.

Membership Framework

Rights, responsibilities and participation

EHORN members participate in regional governance, peer learning, observation support, advocacy and knowledge-sharing activities.

Membership Rights

Members may participate in Council and committee meetings, receive Network publications, nominate representatives, take part in EHORN activities and access peer support from other member organizations.

Member Responsibilities

Members are expected to attend regular Council and special meetings, actively participate in EHORN programmes, share relevant updates and pay annual subscription dues as prescribed by EHORN policies.

Membership Application

Applicants should submit a formal letter, a governing body resolution, a completed application form and supporting information for consideration through the EHORN membership process.

Member Assessment

EHORN Member Institutional Assessment

EHORN conducts periodic member assessments to better understand the capacity, needs, priorities and institutional development areas of member organizations.

The assessment supports planning for capacity building, Country Forum strengthening, technical support, advocacy coordination and resource mobilization.
